Cake serving guide
A guide to how far each cake goes, by size, shape and the way it is cut. Celebration cakes start at 6 inches: the only 5 inch cake we make is the bento.

Serving numbers are estimates and may vary depending on how the cake is cut and portion size. Party portions are the smaller finger-style slices served at a buffet. Dessert portions are the larger plated slices served with a fork.
Larger sizes and tiered cakes are quoted individually. Tell us your guest numbers and we will recommend a size.

An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. We review your date, your requirements and our capacity, then come back to you with a quotation and what we can do.
Children's character cakes, milestone numbers, graduations, football themes, religious celebrations and personalised name cakes, all designed from scratch.

Cupcakes designed
for your day
Cupcakes made to your colours, theme and decoration, for weddings, corporate events and celebrations. Bespoke cupcakes start at 24 and are quoted once we have seen what you are after: there is no fixed price, because no two orders are the same.

Wedding cakes are our favourite kind of pressure. We will help you choose the number of tiers, balance the flavours across them, and make sure the design sits beautifully with your flowers, stationery and venue.
We also make traditional Nigerian wedding cakes for engagement and introduction ceremonies, along with matching treats for your guests.

Cake Availability & Lead Times
How much notice each kind of cake needs. These are minimums rather than promises: every date is still subject to availability, and a date is only held once KKD has confirmed it and the required payment has been made.
Minimum 2 to 3 days' notice, subject to availability.
Ready-to-Order cakes must be paid in full to confirm the order.
Ready-to-Order cake orders cannot be cancelled once confirmed, subject to your applicable UK consumer rights.
Minimum 3 weeks' notice.
Dates are subject to availability.
Minimum 2 months' notice.
Wedding and highly detailed cakes require additional planning, preparation and consultation.

Payment and what is included
Ordering window
Celebration cakes: We recommend booking at least 3 weeks ahead.
Wedding & highly detailed cakes: We recommend booking at least 2 months ahead.
Short notice? Ask anyway. We may be able to accommodate your date depending on availability and the complexity of your design.
These are minimum recommended lead times, not guarantees. All orders remain subject to KKD availability and design complexity.
Securing your date
Pay the required deposit to secure your date. Your booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received. Full payment is due before collection or delivery.
What is included
Every quotation includes design advice, a cake board, careful boxing and clear instructions on storing and cutting. Collection and delivery options are confirmed during the booking process.
